Axiro’s digital step attenuators (DSA) virtually eliminate transient overshoot that occurs during MSB attenuation state transitions of standard DSAs. With Glitch-Free technology, amplifier damage and loss of information at the ADC are avoided.
Axiro’s variable gain amplifier (VGA) noise figure is kept virtually flat in the critical region, while gain is reduced. This greatly eases design constraints for radio engineers by enhancing signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
Axiro RF amplifiers and RF mixers improve SNR by reducing the noise floor and third order intermodulation distortion. This is important for crowded spectrum environments, as it enhances quality-of-service (QoS) and frees up under-utilized spectrum.
Axiro’s variable gain amplifiers maintain constant high linearity as gain is adjusted. As the gain is reduced, the linearity (OIP3) remains constant in the critical region. This prevents intermodulation distortion from degrading as the gain is reduced.
Axiro’s RF switches maintain nearly constant impedance when switching between RF ports. By controlling the impedance during the process voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), transients are minimized. This improves switch reliability, reduces voltage stresses on downstream components, and improves overall system performance.
Axiro amplifiers are able to maintain near constant gain with KGAIN technology that automatically reduces $21 variation over temperature. Allowing temperature dependence to be controlled by design provides better tolerance and relative immunity to process variation which is particularly ideal for large signal chains.

Renesas will support Axiro in manufacturing supply chain processes for up to 12 months after 3rd April, 2025. This will ensure uninterrupted supply while Axiro migrates assets and systems. Additionally, for six months after 3rd April, 2025, Renesas will act as an agent on Axiro’s behalf to service existing and new Purchase Orders. During this transition service period, invoices and shipping labels may still display the Renesas name and logo as an agent of Axiro.
Products shipped by Renesas on or before 2nd April, 2025 will be covered by Renesas’ warranty. Products shipped on or after 3rd April, 2025 will be covered under Axiro’s warranty.
As a fabless semiconductor company, Axiro will continue using the same outsourced fabrication, assembly and testing locations and facilities. For any test locations that will change as a result of asset migrations from Renesas the test will be re-qualified to the same standards and notification issued in accordance with QA policy. The COO, which is based on assembly location, is expected to remain unchanged.
Part numbers will remain the same. Renesas logo markings (if applicable) will be phased out within the first year for parts manufactured after 2nd April, 2025. Notification will be provided to you in accordance with QA policies when such changes take effect.
Most product information is available on Axiro’s website. Documents previously accessible through the Renesas Secure Portal will remain available for several months until the migration to Axiro’s website is complete. If you need assistance locating a document, contact support@axiro.com.
If your order was booked through a Renesas distributor that is also a distributor of Axiro, then it will be delivered per the commit date, except for orders due from 3rd April, 2025 to 10th April, 2025 which may incur up to a two week delay due to system switchover.
For orders booked through a Renesas distributor that is not a distributor of Axiro, the order will be rebooked through an alternate distributor maintaining the original commit date to the greatest extent possible. If you have not yet been contacted regarding this transition, please reach out to an Authorized Distributors or e-mail sales@axiro.com.
Axiro has streamlined its distribution network, working with one or two major distributors per region. Please refer to our "Where to Buy" section for an updated list of authorized distributors. More distributors will be added in the coming months. For further inquiries, contact sales@axiro.com.
Axiro has no plans to discontinue any products. Product offerings will be adjusted periodically based on market demand and customer needs.
